Take to the waters of the Dalaman River and shout with excitement one minute while negotiating the rapids, catching your breath the next as you float calmly through the canyons lining the Taurus Mountain river.
Ecoraft organise one-day or two-day rafting trips and pick you up from your place of accommodation early in the morning. The one-day raft launch point is a three-hour drive from the coast high up into the Taurus Mountains and the end point, Akkopru, is just 1.5 hours from the coast.
The rapids that paddlers pass through include "Rockgate", "Long Rapid", "Slingshot" and "The Fat Lady Sings"! There are regular stops for swimming and sunbathing and the entire distance covered is about 12km.
After reaching Akkopru, Ecoraft serve up a delicious BBQ at the riverside cafˇ. Akkopru is famous for its old Roman bridge, which you can swim through if you wish.
All Ecoraft's guides are experienced professionals trained in first aid and river rescue. All kit - life jackets, rafts and paddles - is provided along with insurance. All rafters must be 14 years of age or older.
The two-day rafting trip requires rafters to be over 18, fully fit and ready to brave 4-4+ grade rapids! The group begins from Narli, then camps overnight beside the river before taking on more rapids the next day.
